Course Descriptions

All courses meet the AHA 2020 guideline revisions. Student workbooks are required for your success in the courses and can be obtained from your instructor by request or purchased online at shopcpr.heart.org

The HEART-SAVER FIRST AID course teaches participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. Participants who take this course are often personal trainers, day care providers, construction, industrial workers, or anyone who needs to meet OSHA requirements for their employer.

The BLS course is for healthcare professionals such as nurses, dentists, paramedics & fire fighters. Heartcode BLS is a blended learning course where scenarios and written testing is completed online, and the physical skills such as compressions and rescue breathing are performed with the instructor.
